It’s been quite a stretch — nine years, to be exact — since Gwen Stefani last hit the road on a solo tour. But with time comes perspective, life changes and, if you’re a pop icon like the platinum-haired Stefani, a new generation of fans who’ve discovered your catalog of hits.

Earlier this year, Gwen released her chart-topping third solo album, This Is What The Truth Feels Like, a full decade after her previous outing. As a nod to her past while touring her new material, Stefani has invited her pal and collaborator Eve to join her on the This Is What The Truth Feels Like Tour, which hit Wantagh, New York’s Nikon At Jones Beach Theater on Thursday, July 21.

Naturally, Gwen tore through solo smashes on stage both new (“Make Me Like You,” “Misery,” “Used To Love You”) and old (“Hollaback Girl,” “Cool,” “Wind It Up”), and she even curiously tossed in “Baby Don’t Lie,” an orphaned single from 2014 that didn’t make the cut for her latest album.

She also didn’t shy away from her staples with No Doubt. In fact, each of the night’s three acts included a performance of one of the Stefani-fronted band’s hits, as did the encore — from “Underneath It All” to “Hella Good” to “Don’t Speak” to, of course, “Just A Girl.”

As a bonus, tour opener Eve returned to the stage to join Gwen and provide her vocal parts on both the former’s turn-of-the-millennium single “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” and the latter’s 2004 hit “Rich Girl.”
