Alessia Cara certainly isn’t going to get lonely while touring this fall. UK crooner Nathan Sykes will now be joining already-announced opener Ruth B for Cara’s upcoming North American dates in late September through October.

In further Sykes news, the former Wanted member’s debut solo album looks to be getting a fall release, via Def Jam. The 23 year old spent the last year-and-a-half writing and recording songs for the LP with the likes of Diane Warren, Harmony Samuels, Ldn Noise and Babyface.

During a chat with Idolator in 2015, Sykes told us the following about working with Warren: “You wouldn’t think that she’s had over a billion record sales. She’s as hungry now as I imagine she was on day one. You listen to the song [I did with her] on the album, and you’d just be like, ‘That is not a Diane Warren song. Never in a million years is that a Diane Warren song!’ It’s a funky, Jamiroquai-esque record. It’s not what you’d expect.”
