Norah Jones’ New Single Is Reportedly Called “Carry On”
Expect to hear something new from Norah Jones in a matter of weeks. (Reliable) radio website FMQB has a new single called “Carry On” listed for AAA adds on August 15, which means the song could arrive any minute now. That timeline also fits in with the 37-year-old’s just-announced European Tour and updates she has been drip-feeding fans via her Instagram account. “I’m almost finished with my new record!” the nine-time Grammy Award winner wrote way back in February.
“Playing more piano than I ever have and havin’ a ball.” About a month after that, she shared what appears to be a behind-the-scenes picture from a cover shoot. (See them both below). It will be interesting to hear Norah’s direction this time around. The “Don’t Know Why” diva dabbled in quirky alt-pop to brilliant effect on 2012’s Danger Mouse-produced …Little Broken Hearts and I’d love to hear more dark and demented (almost-) pop from her.
