Critics are split down the middle when it comes to Rihanna’s ANTI album, but the general consensus is that it’s rather thin in radio fodder. With the exception of chart-topping phenomenon “Work” and sleeper hit “Needed Me,” nothing really stands out as an obvious single. While she is content to flex her artistic chops this time around, a group of divas are tapping into RiRi’s signature sound to score hits. Here are three songs that benefit from the superstar’s distinctive flair.

Sia’s “Cheap Thrills”

The bulk of Sia’s This Is Acting was originally intended for ANTI and Rihanna’s A&R did a fairly good job of avoiding duds like “Alive,” “Bird Set Free” and “Reaper.” However, they completely dropped the ball with “Cheap Thrills.” The euphoric dancehall-tinged anthem recently topped the Billboard Hot 100 and is shaping up to be a strong Song Of The Summer contender. This would have been a nice bookend to “Work” — as far as having another bonafide bop on the album.

Era Istrefi’s “BonBon”

Era Istrefi’s “BonBon” was originally recorded in Albanian and still managed to draw comparisons to Rihanna. After conquering the charts in Europe, the unstoppable smash was rerecorded in English (there’s also a rap remix with Post Malone) for America and it sounds like Unapologetic-era Rih — albeit with a weird and wonderful mix of Euro-house and trap beats. It makes me miss the “Kiss It Better” diva’s pop phase. Badly.

Anne-Marie’s “Alarm”

After building a following with a string of dance features, UK singer Anne-Marie released her solo debut single earlier this year. “Do It Right” made a big impression, but she really struck gold with the follow-up. “Alarm” is shaping up to be a massive song for the rising star. It’s fiery, ridiculously catchy and boasts a massive chorus. It’s also the most disconcerting Rihanna sound-alike since Eva Simon’s “Silly Boy.” If you’re missing upbeat RiRi, this will keep you going until her next release.
