The original, 18-year Broadway run of Andrew Lloyd Weber‘s Cats ended in 2000, but a revival has brought the show growling back to life this week. The new production debuted this past Sunday (July 31) at New York’s Neil Simon Theatre.

You may have caught the news when Nicole Scherzinger, originally slated to play Grizabella in the new Cats, clawed her way out of the show just three months ago. Stepping into her place is fellow pop star and X Factor UK alum Leona Lewis.

Lewis and the Cats cast hit up Good Morning America today for a performance of show opener “Jellicle Songs For Jellicle Cats” and Grizabella’s big number, “Memory.” As you’ll see, given the British singer’s theater and opera training at an early age, Broadway comes off like an easy fit for her.

Watch above and see if Leona persuades you to hit up the box office for tickets.
