Now that the furor over whether or not John Newman‘s latest single “Olé,” — produced and penned by Calvin Harris — is about Taylor Swift (it’s not) has died down, we’re able to sit back and enjoy the breezy summer gem in without any such silly preconceived notion.

“With this one, it stops you a little bit, because it is very different to what’s on the radio at the moment,” Newman said to Idolator last month, while talking about the song. “It’s very different to what I’ve put on the radio before and very different to what Calvin’s put on the radio.

For the video, John headed down to sunny Los Cabos, Mexico, with pal Calvin along for ride. It’s a pretty much laid-back clip that reflects the vibe of “Olé” itself. In fact, it plays more like personal footage of a vacation than promo for a pop tune.

The “Olé” visual comes the same week Newman confirmed that benign cells have returned to his brain four years after he had a tumor removed. We wish him good health and a speedy recovery.
