Someone got a little clumsy with Britney Spears‘ new song “Clumsy,” which made its way online today. The song is set to officially become available at midnight tonight, as an instant grat track with pre-orders of Spears’ forthcoming album, Glory (out August 26). UPDATE: The song has officially premiered. Listen via Spotify below.

Overall, after hearing single “Make Me,” buzz/fragrance tie-in track “Private Show” and now “Clumsy,” it’s becoming apparent that soul is the vibe Her Spearship is aiming for with at least some tracks on this ninth studio album, albeit through a very Britney-esque filter. (Britney also described a couple of the songs on the album as “urban,” during a chat last week with Ryan Seacrest.)

With “Clumsy,” we get served a rhythmic handclap beat, plenty of woah-oh-OH!s and a peak-hour interlude that builds to its clubby climax after the second verse. It’s kind of what expect from Britney, but then again it’s also a bit of a departure for her. Funny how that works.

Hear “Clumsy” above.
