Tinashe’s ‘Joyride’ Might Finally Arrive In October

Tinashe seemed prime for a serious power grab around the time that her killer “All Hands On Deck” video dropped and she announced she was working with Max Martin. But momentum can be a cruel force, and with constant delays to her sophomore album Joyride and a trickle of songs that failed to connect the way “2 On” did, she lost much of it.

The arrival of “Superlove” last month snapped the campaign back into place, but there’s still no official release date for the LP. All she’ll reveal at the moment is that the album will arrive in October.

“It’s coming in October, so very soon,” she told Rap-Up at a Bud Light event in California earlier this week. “The majority of the album was recorded even before 2016. It was mostly recorded in 2015. The heart of the album still remains the same and then I’m still just adding little tidbits, little touches, anything that inspires me throughout this year.”

She added that her Young Thug collab “Party Favors” will be on the album, but otherwise it’ll be light on features.

Look for the Baywatch-inspired “Superlove” video tomorrow (August 12), which should further help the Joyride previval.
