Katy Perry Takes Flight In Epic "Rise" Video
Katy Perry battles the elements and herself in epic "Rise" video.

Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd can flex now. He tells Complex that Katy Perry wrote a track that he recorded for her. This comes after he and Slim Jxmmi wrote parts of Beyoncé‘s “Formation,” re-establishing that the hip-hop duo has pop chops to spare. “I wrote this track and [Katy] laid it and it’s pretty dope,” Swae Lee says. “She got a lot of style. She about to come with it!”

Of course, Katy has worked with several hip-hop artists for past hits, from Snoop Dogg (“California Gurls”) to Kanye West (“E.T.”) and Juicy J (“Dark Horse”).

Rae Sremmurd just dropped SremmLife 2, the sequel to their 2015 debut. Their latest imagines the duo living the same rambunctious lifestyle from “Throw Sum Mo,” and with cameos by Juicy J and Lil Jon for good measure. But this time their melodies are atonal and the Mike WiLL Made It production is eerie, showing listeners that they know more than one way to party.
