Lady Gaga Is Helping Her Dad Write A Cookbook

Lady Gaga is helping her dad write a cookbook. Joe Germanotta, father to Mother Monster and owner of Joanne Trattoria in New York’s Upper West Side, is compiling his Italian eatery’s recipes, and Gaga will write the foreword. Here’s the font-crazy cover for Joanne Trattoria Cookbook: Classic Recipes and Scenes from an Italian American Restaurant:

“Family, food, and love are the foundation upon which Joe Germanotta and his wife, Cynthia, raised their daughters, Natali and Stefani (aka Lady Gaga),” the description reads. “Named for his sister who died of Lupus three months shy of her 20th birthday, their family-run restaurant is built on those same fundamental principals. In the pages of this cookbook, Joe has collected recipes and entertaining anecdotes inspired by his world famous restaurant.”

It’s out November 22, and thanks to that Gaga pull it’s already Amazon’s best-selling new release in the Italian Cooking category, based on pre-orders.

This family favor is added to other non-LG5 activities on Gaga’s docket like filming the new season of American Horror Story and recording another album with Tony Bennett. But even with all that going on, there are rumors we could hear new material from her within the next few weeks (possibly at the VMAs?).
