Earlier this month, Kesha dropped her charges against Dr. Luke in California. The complicated legal battle between the singer and her producer/mentor continues in New York, but sexual abuse allegations will no longer be a part of the case, according to a report.

Per Billboard, Kesha told a New York judge this past Friday (August 12) that she will not be relying on alleged abuse as a defense to Luke’s assertion she violated her recording contract with Luke and his Sony imprint, Kemosabe Records.

Kesha is said to have turned 28 songs in to Kemosabe in a bid to get things moving again with her career. Aside from a feature on a re-recorded version of Zedd‘s “True Colors” released in the spring, her last output was a feature on Pitbull‘s chart-topping 2013 single “Timber.” Kesha’s most recent album, Warrior, was released in 2012.

“My fight continues,” Kesha posted on Instagram two weeks ago. “I need to get my music out. I have so much to say. This lawsuit is so heavy on my once free spirit, and I can only pray to one day feel that happiness again. I am continuing to fight for my rights in New York. Thank you for all your support. The support of my fans has been so beautiful and I’m so grateful for it. I’m Not sure where I would be without you all.”

Do you think we might get a new album from Kesha yet by 2017?
