Cyndi Lauper is known for pop classics like “Time After Time,” “She Bop,” “True Colors” and “I Drove All Night,” but her teenage son is aiming for a different vibe entirely with his own musical ambitions.

Dex Lauper (real name: Declyn Wallace Thornton), 18, recently dropped a hip hop single called “Wavy.” Produced by Reazy Renegade (Ace Hood, K Camp), Dex raps a number of cliched lines on the track about “bad bitches,” “gold around my neck” and “money comin’ at me daily.” You’ve heard worse. See if Cyndi’s son has you feeling wavy above.
