Tegan And Sara Release Wistful New Song “Fade Out”: Listen
Back in July, Tegan And Sara revealed that they have a new synth-pop number featured in the Clea Duvall– directed movie The Intervention. Now, the sisters have released the track (which has been christened “Fade Out”) and a video of cute behind-the-scene moments from the film to along with it via Rolling Stone.
“I played a rough idea of it for Clea [DuVall] and she really liked it,” Sara Quin told the magazine. “So I tried to imagine Melanie Lynskey’s character and the misguided attempt to fix other people’s lives when she herself was headed for a fadeout in her own relationship and rewrote the lyrics.”
The Intervention comes out August 26 and stars Natasha Lyonne, Jason Ritter, Alia Shawkat, among others.
