Beyonce's 'Lemonade': Album Review
We dissect Bey's powerful 6th LP 'Lemonade.' Read our track-by-track review.

Beyonce and Jay Z’s rumored joint LP has been a hot topic of conversation since 2014 when radio personality DJ Skee mentioned the project on air. “7/11” producer Detail then confirmed the existence of the album at the 2015 Grammy Awards. “Me and Beyoncé and Jay Z are actually doing something together this year,” he said on the red carpet. “When you think of Jay and Bey together, you think album.” However, 2015 came and went with no sign of the opus and we all forgot about it, at least momentarily, when Lemonade arrived earlier this year.

However, the rumors never really went away. Page Six reported that the album was completed in May and warned readers of its imminent arrival. The latest source to shed a little light on the Carters’ side-project is well-connected Twitter account The Bey Hive Team, who have previously shared exclusive tidbits about Lemonade and Beyonce’s Super Bowl performance. “We’ll give you 2 lyrics from the joint album sessions,” they tweeted last week. “2 different songs.”

The first track is allegedly produced by Tricky and The-Dream and contains the lyrics: “Hello… Hello…. If you’re looking for me, look up! I’m DRONING!… Flying by all you bitches… Skyin high.” As for the second? “Young BB,” the alleged lyrics go. “They hate to see me. Collect my rent from these chicks. Pass it off to my baby ….. Blue.” They included the hashtags #IRS and #WhereMyMoney. The album, which fans are calling Champagne, is said to be a continuation of (or companion piece to) Lemonade.

According to The Bey Hive Team, it deals with: “Marriage Counseling. Tennis Courts. Mansion. Therapy. Battle. Screaming. Accusations. Regret. Trust Issues. Celebrity. Visual Album. Film.” It sounds like Hov finally gets the opportunity to give his side of the story without dropping an embarrassing response album. (Anyway, Snoop Dogg already has that covered!)
