Carly Rae Announces 'E•MO•TION: Side B'
Carly Rae Jepsen announced a reissue of her third LP 'E•MO•TION' on Twitter.

Carly Rae Jepsen celebrated the one-year anniversary of E•MO•TION by announcing a reissue called Side B (due August 26). The Canadian pop star is keeping the tracklist under wraps, but we know it contains “First Time” and “Higher” because she kindly shared snippets on Twitter. The former was part of Japan-only remix package E·MO·TION (Remixed+), which means that it’s been online since March, but the latter is brand new. And it sounds like a shimmery pop triumph.

“You take me higher than the rest,” CRJ chirps over a symphony of ’80s synths in the 15-second snippet. “Everybody else is second best.” This is pop at its least self-conscious, which actually makes “Higher” something of a throwback to Kiss. Carly’s not trying to show off her indie cred on this one, she’s just having a hell of a lot of fun. Get acquainted with the pop diva’s latest (and check out “First Time,” if you haven’t already) below.
