The Weeknd Teams Up With Cashmere Cat & Francis And The Lights For “Wild Love”

The Weeknd shared an entrancing one-minute preview of his Cashmere Cat collab the other night, and there was speculation it was from his Beauty Behind The Madness follow-up. But today the song is out; it’s called “Wild Love” and it’s actually the title track off the Norwegian producer’s debut album. Francis And The Lights is featured on vocals as well — another big look for him after he nabbed Kanye West and Bon Iver for his “Friends” video.

This is definitely the strangest arrangement The Weeknd’s ever worked with, with layers of manipulated vocals and a synth squeak forming the bed over which he croons amorphously about love. It’s also easy see how it’s the work of one of the producers behind “Wolves.”
