Kanye West Has Allegedly Been Given Permission To Do Whatever He Wants At The 2016 VMAs

It’s no secret that Kanye West does what Kanye West wants. And with that assumption in mind, MTV has allegedly given West four minutes to literally do anything on stage at the 2016 VMAs.

TMZ reports that he has been given “free reign” and that a source close to production says, “He can rap, sing, dance or even just stay silent … and we’re told show producers are totally clueless which door he’ll pick.”

Given Kanye’s past track record at the VMA’s, it is impossible to speculate what he’ll end up doing. In 2009, he started his still on-going beef with Taylor Swift when he took over her acceptance speech for Best Female Video. The year after that, he performed “Runaway” for the first time, toasting all the douchebags in the world.

And let’s not forget his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award speech last year. Yeezy only started his speech after standing there for a minute or two, listening to the crowd cheer for him. He then criticized MTV and awards shows, and discussed his love for the art of music. Oh, and he ended the 13-minute speech with a presidential bid.

But whatever Mr. West decides to do this year, I’m sure we’ll be talking about it for a long time.
