Harry Styles And Meghan Trainor Co-Wrote A Song For Michael Buble’s Upcoming Album

Nobody But Me (out October 21) is the title of Michael Buble‘s upcoming album, but it wasn’t the rule used when recording songs for the album. In fact, the Canadian crooner enlisted two current pop chart mainstays for his latest project: “Me Too” diva Meghan Trainor and One Direction member Harry Styles.

Wait — that’s kind of funny how that worked out. Nobody But Me? No, no — “Me Too”! Like…oh, never mind.

“For the first time ever I’ve recorded an original [song] that I didn’t write. It’s written by Meghan Trainor and Harry Styles,” Buble tells ET Canada. “I know that sounds mind-blowing to people, but they’re talented; they wrote a song that I fell in love with, and that was it. I was going to set my ego aside and I was going to do what’s best for the record.”

If you caught last week’s news about Nobody But Me, then you know the album also features Trainor’s vocals. The song in question is called “Someday.”

“She’s a great singer and entertainer,” Buble says of Trainor in the interview. “What they may not know is what an incredible writer she is; what an incredible musician she is; the fact that she’s a bad-ass producer.”

Another person smitten with Meghan’s songwriting is Jennifer Lopez, who recently recorded the controversial, Trainor-penned “Ain’t Your Mama.”

What a wacky world.
