Nicole Scherzinger Shades Rita Ora & Cheryl At ‘X Factor’ Press Launch
Simon Cowell revamped the panel on X Factor this year, replacing UK pop stars Rita Ora and Cheryl with former judges Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne. “The good thing about having a Twitter account is they [viewers] tell you what they think,” he said of the move. “It wasn’t anyone’s fault, I just didn’t realise how much the viewers missed everyone… so this line-up was the easiest decision we have ever made, there was no speculation, it was just this is who’s going to be on the show.”
Nicole had a slightly different explanation, however, at the show’s press launch in London. According to a now-deleted tweet from Daily Star Sunday showbiz editor James Ingham, a reporter asked what she has that Rita and Cheryl don’t. Her response? To stand up and belt out Dreamgirls power ballad “And I’m Telling You That I’m Not Going.” It seems the Pussycat Dolls diva was just having a little fun, but this is flawless shade nonetheless. Now where’s that long-overdue comeback single?
