Britney Spears’ ‘Marie Claire’ Cover Shoot Is Something Sensational
While the Glory era hasn’t been without a couple of hiccups (the “Make Me” video springs to mind), it has already delivered more promo than Britney Jean and Femme Fatale combined. Britney Spears’ latest endeavor? Appearing on the cover of Marie Claire UK in a sophisticated black jacket. In other pics, she poses in a simple white shirt and a knotted t-shirt. It’s the most flattering and natural-looking photo shoot the 34-year-old has done in a very long time. Brit also opened up about her love life in the accompanying interview and revealed that she’s a sushi addict.
As for dating? “I had a really bad date,” Britney confesses. “I mean, it was really bad. I’ve been single for ages and had a date with a guy I liked. I was getting anxious, worrying he wouldn’t like me. In the evening I got on the scales and I had lost six pounds.” It gets worse. “We went to the movies, but I could tell right away it wasn’t working. It was sort of awkward,” she continues. “So after the movie I came home and that was it. It just didn’t work… he just wasn’t that into me. I liked him. He knew that. But he definitely didn’t feel the same. It happens to everybody.”
It’s not all doom and gloom, however. Britney has a new love in her life — raw fish. “I never ate sushi until a year or so ago,” the hitmaker says. “I thought the idea of raw fish was horrible. We had a day in a hotel in Vegas and [my sister] ordered up every single bit of sushi they had and we sat there just eating everything. Now I’m hooked.” See more pics here.
