Kylie Minogue Recorded A Duet With Robbie Williams, Re-Issuing Her Christmas Album

If you’ve been craving new Kylie Minogue music, the wait, it seems, is nearly over.

Well, okay — you’re going to have to settle for a repackaged version of last year’s festive Kylie Christmas album, the project that saw the Australian pop queen pair up with longtime producer Steve Anderson of Brothers In Rhythm, duet with the likes of Iggy Pop and James Corden, collaborate on a heart-tugging ballad with Coldplay‘s Chris Martin and reunite with legendary pop-makers Stock Aitken Waterman.

“We’ve got some really really good new additions to the Christmas album for this year,” Minogue tells Australian site news.com.au. She then adds that a proper pop follow-up to 2014’s Kiss Me Once is in the works, as well.

“I have started work on new material, the way the year’s panned out I won’t have that much time to work on it but my brain’s working overtime,” says Kylie. “I’m so keen to get what’s in my brain out and turn it into what I hear in my head, make that a reality. So new music is really, consistently on my mind. I’ve opened the door and stepped into the room but I’ve yet to spend as much time there as I look.”

Finally the singer confirms a rumor that was doing the rounds in the spring — that she’s recorded another duet with Robbie Williams, 16 years after their hit single “Kids.” Whether it will appear on his forthcoming album or hers, though, is up in the air.

“Where it’s going to go I couldn’t tell you, but it’s very good,” says Kylie. And you know what? We believe her.

This is the part where we inevitably insert the “Kids” video, of course.
