It’s New York Fashion Week, which is increasingly becoming just Music Takeover week. Already for this year’s edition we’ve had Kanye’s Yeezy Season 4 fashion show, we’ve seen Young Thug interrupt VFILES’ show to fix a model’s outfit, we’ve seen St. Vincent, Missy Elliott, Courtney Love and more musicians star in a Marc Jacobs ad and we get Rihanna on the cover of CR Fashion Book. (I don’t know if that last one has anything to do with Fashion Week, but it has fashion in the title and it’s happening at the same time so that’s close enough.)

Rihanna is a neo-Marie Antoinette on the cover for the issue themed around the controversial monarch. The also-controversial Terry Richardson handled the shoot. Here’s Carine Roitfeld, she of the titular CR, explaining: “On the cover is Rihanna, who shares with Marie Antoinette an air of royalty that I, and the world it seems, find intoxicating.”
