BREAKING: Katy Perry is willing to set aside her differences with Taylor Swift, at least under one condition. When a fan recently asked, “will you collab with Taylor,” Katy said, “if she says sorry, sure!” This is the closest she has come to addressing their rivalry directly, if not actually calling out the 1989 superstar by name.

Their beef reportedly dates back to 2012, when Katy started dating John Mayer after Taylor did for a stint. But it all came to a head with “Bad Blood,” which Taylor wrote about a female artist who “basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour.” Soon, people figured out that some dancers from Katy’s Prismatic tour had jumped ship from Taylor’s own 1989 World Tour, though after having originally been part of Katy’s Teenage Dream trek.

The last time Katy commented on the matter, Nicki Minaj was criticizing the MTV Video Music Awards for unfairly rewarding women “with very slim bodies.” Taylor called out Nicki for what she felt was her, “pit[ting] women against each other,” while Katy cut to the heart of the irony. “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…” she said.
