Beyonce's 'Lemonade': Album Review
We dissect Bey's powerful 6th LP 'Lemonade.' Read our track-by-track review.

Glory is shaping up to be a golden era for Britney Spears — at least, promo-wise. Every day there’s a new interview, magazine shoot or performance to enjoy. The pop icon’s latest coup? An insightful NME cover story in which she, among other things, shares her opinion on Beyonce’s Lemonade album. “I’m a little late on that, but it’s good, really angry, a really hardcore album,” the “Make Me” hitmaker declares. “Most of the time it almost feels like a therapy album. I respect that. She’s an artist and that’s what she needs to touch on at this point in her life.”

Britney also revealed that she wasn’t particularly happy with the first draft of Glory. “The beginning of the project was actually not that great,” she admits. “The songs that were coming in were not very good. So we got a new A&R girl, and we totally turned it around, gave it a profound new direction. I wanted to use my voice more. I did different stuff with my voice — more bluesy and urban stuff, and played around with different things.” The initial problem? “I’m a people pleaser, so that’s hard for me. Even if I don’t like something, I’ll do it just to make a person happy.” Luckily for fans (and her career), the superstar learned to say no.
