Liam Payne Is “Hard At Work” On His Solo Album
Liam Payne is “hard at work” on his debut solo LP. I know this because that’s the exact statement he used to caption a studio pic on Instagram this afternoon (September 15). The update is notable because the One Direction heartthrob has been unusually quiet since announcing his solo deal with Capitol Records. “Happy to have signed to Capitol UK,” he tweeted in July. “They have an amazing history of artists, I hope I can follow in their footsteps.” The 23-year-old also acknowledged his former band. “One direction will always be my home and family but I’m very excited to see what this chapter brings.”
Since then, Liam has been making more headlines for his romance with UK pop star/TV hit Cheryl. (She’s pregnant according to Britain’s notoriously unreliable tabloids). It’s good to see him back in the studio because Zayn Malik has set the bar pretty high for 1D alumni. His debut single, “Pillowtalk,” debuted at number 1 in UK and US — a feat he repeated with debut album LP, Mind Of Mine. As for the rest of the band?
