Watch Tori Kelly’s Moving Performance Of “Hallelujah” At The 2016 Emmys

Tori Kelly covered Leonard Cohen‘s “Hallelujah” for the annual ‘In Memoriam’ tribute during the 2016 Emmy Awards last night (September 18).

The singer gave a poignant performance of the song, sitting on a dark stage with only an acoustic guitar in hand. And as Kelly belted the song’s moving lyrics, the world looked back on the artists that passed in 2016. This year in particular was a hard one to watch, since the roster includes the likes of Prince, David Bowie, Natalie Cole, Gene Wilder, Alan Rickman and more.

We’ll post the full performance when it’s up, but for now, watch a snippet of the tribute below.
