Kylie Minogue Interview
Kylie Minogue talks her Xmas album, festive memories and returning to dance/pop.

With the exception of a looming re-release of her Christmas album, Kylie Minogue has been disappointingly quiet on the music front this year. Not that she’s been in hiding. In fact, the pop icon performed for 45,000 people at the F1 grand prix in Singapore on Friday night (September 16) and absolutely crushed it with a high camp, hit-filled set. Happily, one diligent fan filmed the whole 90-minute spectacle — so you can watch every fabulous second. The highlights? Well, there are glamorous costumes a plenty and lots of cute choreography, but I was particularly impressed by the setlist.

Kylie wasn’t playing in Singapore. The Australian diva knew she would be performing at a giant party and kept things light and frothy, from the opening number (“Better The Devil You Know”) to the grand finale (“Into The Blue”). In between, she stuck to the hits. The 48-year-old belted out “What Do I Have To Do,” “In Your Eyes,” “Timebomb,” “Spinning Around,” “I Believe In You,” “Your Disco Needs You,” “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head,” “Locomotion,” “I Should Be So Lucky” and “All The Lovers.” What more could you ask for? Apart from maybe some new music. Please, Kylie. We’re waiting.
