Spotify And Tinder Team Up To Add Music To Your Dating Profile

Good news from the world of dating apps, folks.

Tinder and Spotify have teamed up to add music to your online love life. Starting Tuesday (September 20), Tinder users will be able to add their “Anthem” by synching their Spotify accounts to their profile. An even if people don’t have an account with the streaming service, they’ll still be allowed to preview tracks on the dating app. Not to mention, Tinder will also let you hide any embarrassing songs that you’ve been listening to lately (I, for one, listen to “Strut” by the Cheetah Girls weekly. I’m not ashamed of it, though I can see how some people might be.)

Here’s a mock-up of what the experience looks like, as well as a commercial for the new feature below. A similar Spotify partnership was also struck with the dating app Bumble back in June. Here’s to being judged by your music taste even more than you ever were before!
