UPDATE: Stream “Medicine” below.

Ferras made a welcome return to the pop scene in June with breezy anthem, “Closer.” The upbeat track represented something of a departure from the introspective singer/songwriter fare of his debut LP (the still great Aliens & Rainbows) and self-titled EP, and ranks as one of the catchiest songs of the summer. The bearded crooner follows it up on Friday (September 23) with a new single called “Medicine,” which features Los Angeles-based Indian artist Raja Kumari.

What’s it sound like? Well, it’s hard to tell from the brief snippet he shared on social media, but it definitely has a spiritual vibe. (Note the sage bush on the cover and the chime-like sounds). “After two years of really defining my sound and figuring out where I want to go, I’m so happy I can finally share with you guys what I’ve been working on,” Ferras wrote of his last single on Instagram. “Thanks for the continued support, your patience and most of all your belief in me. I can’t tell you how much it means.” Listen to a preview of his next offering below.
