Shawn Mendes Releases Broody Video For “Mercy”: Watch
Shawn Mendes just dropped his video for the poignant ballad “Mercy,” just a few days before the release of his sophomore album Illuminate.
Initially, the broody visual sees Mendes crooning the track in a studio before the shot switches to him sitting in a drowning car. It’s a telling image, perhaps showing how he feels internally about a broken relationship. In the end though, he escapes the vehicle, but not without smashing a guitar into a drum set first.
