Ariana Grande Would Try Country Music If The Right Opportunity Came Along

It seems the sky is the limit for Ariana Grande these days. On the heels of her performance at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas this past weekend, Grande expressed an interest in taking her music in many different directions, perhaps even dabbling in country.

“My grandpa, he always wanted me to do something in the country world. I don’t know if that would ever happen,” she told Entertainment Tonight.“If that opportunity comes along, I’d have to say, ‘Hell yeah!'”

She continued, “My grandpa was like, ‘You need to do a country song.’ So, [I] gotta make that happen someday.”

The “Into You” singer revealed that she grew up listening to the Dixie Chicks with her dad, noting “that’s the most country I’ve been exposed to.” So it might be a while before we hear a country ditty from the pop star, since she’s also gearing up for her forthcoming tour and her performance on NBC’s Hairspray Live!. But hey, we can dare to dream right?
