For roughly the past year, Daya‘s been riding one of those winning streaks that pop rookies dream of, and she hasn’t even dropped her debut album yet. That first full-length, Sit Still, Look Pretty, arrives on October 7, and ahead of the release she premiered new cut “Cool” on Beats 1.
It’s not as immediately catchy as her previous hits; as the title suggest she plays it cool here. But it’s a restrained little head-bobber that shows she’s aiming to be more than just a singalong star.
