Demi Lovato Zeroes In On Taylor Swift Again Over “Bad Blood” Video

Demi Lovato is again taking on Taylor Swift — perhaps she sees an opportunity after Taylor has proven to be fallible. Lovato criticized the singer for shading Katy Perry with her “Bad Blood” video (people are still talking about that?) in a new interview.

First she alludes to the body image messaging of the video’s “squad,” then she talks specifically of the Swift-Perry feud.

“This will probably get me in trouble, but I don’t see anybody in any sort of squad that has a normal body. It’s kind of this false image of what people should look like,” she said, according to Entertainment Tonight. Then to clarify just what squad she was talking about, she added, “I think that having a song and a video about tearing Katy Perry down, that’s not women’s empowerment.”

Surely KP would agree — but for what it’s worth, Perry said she’d work with Taylor…if Taylor apologized first.

Not surprisingly, the comments created a #content storm overnight. So Demi signed onto Twitter this morning to defend herself, writing “I get asked questions. I answer them. Sue me.” See her string of tweets below.
