Kanye West Fired Everyone

Kanye West‘s first three Yeezy fashion shows were ultimate pop culture Happenings, culminating with the Season 3 debut at a sold-out Madison Square Garden, which also served as the worldwide debut of his new album The Life Of Pablo. It was live streamed to millions, and was an unprecedented event in both the fashion and music worlds. So how would he top that? The Season 4 show in New York City last month tried, but by most accounts it was a disaster. And now Kanye has apparently fired just about everyone involved.

Page Six reports that West had a “massive meltdown” and axed 30 staffers. Their “insider” says that West “had his agent fire all 30 of his staff after the fashion show and got rid of his phone so people can only contact him via email.”

In the recent past, Page Six has seemed to have an inside track on Kanye scoops — remember this, and this? But, the article also cites another “insider” who says the whole getting rid of the phone thing was not some nervous breakdown impulse: “Some people got let go, and there was a reorganization of others who he moved back to the music side of things. He’s a grownup. He was reflective and disappointed in how things went…And as far as throwing away his cellphone? If he did, then it’s not the first time. He always does that.”
