After establishing herself as an underground pop force on debut LP No Mythologies To Follow, has veered ever closer to the mainstream thanks to a string of hit features including Major Lazer’s “Lean On” and Iggy Azalea’s “Beg For It.” That trend is set to continue on album number two. Lead single “Kamikaze” found the Danish diva exploring tropical house, while “Final Song” was a shot of dreamy dance-pop. The latter proved to be an international hit (top 20 in Australia, New Zealand and the UK) and paved the way for “Drum.”

Co-written with Noonie Bao and Charli XCX, the Bloodpop-produced banger sounds like MØ’s catchiest single to date. At least from the preview that soundtracks a new clothing commercial. “You always going left and I’m always going right,” she coos over airy synths. “We gotta take a break and I promise it’s alright. It’s your life and it’s all yours.” That takes us to the massive drop/chorus, which finds the 28-year-old singing: “To the beat of your drum.” Listen to a preview below. “Drum” drops Friday (October 7).
