Zara Larsson's "Ain't My Fault" Video
Zara Larsson performs magic tricks and looks flawless in fiery "Ain't My Fault" video.

Already a pop heavyweight in Europe, Zara Larsson is angling for a (solo) US breakthrough with “Ain’t My Fault” — the lead single from her international debut LP. And she’s off to a flying start. The catchy track, which was co-written with “Never Forget You” collaborator MNEK, is already top 40 at pop radio and just outside the top 50 on Spotify’s streaming chart. When you factor in the fiery video and upward momentum on iTunes, it won’t be long until the Swede’s man-stealing anthem lands on the Billboard Hot 100.

A new remix from R3hab will only help its cause. As much as I like the original (and I like it a lot), “Ain’t My Fault” veers a little too close to Rihanna’s urban-pop lane. Well, the one she ruled with a iron fist before getting all experimental on ANTI. The Dutch DJ doesn’t interfere with the song too much, he just makes it more club-friendly and adds a massive drop. Which, somewhat counterintuitively, makes the track more mellow. Take a listen to his killer overhaul (due October 7) below.
