You Tried It: The Good, The Bad & The ‘Mad Love’ Of This Week’s Reader Comments

Idolator Staff | October 14, 2016 4:06 pm

We’ve made it to the end of the week, folks. Barely (the election cycle is really getting to us), but nevertheless … we’re here.

So what happened this week? Well, the Chainsmokers threw major shade at Rihanna and Lady Gaga in their recent Rolling Stone profile. And though we still haven’t gotten our hands on Joyride,  Tinashe released a (kinda unnecessary) collab track, “Freal Luv,” with Far East Movement and mystery EDM producer Marshmello. We also got new music from Charli XCX, Maroon 5, Emeli Sande and Tove Lo.

Though, this week really goes to JoJo and her new album Mad Love, the first full length work she’s put out in a decade. And get this – it’s really good.

But enough about all that. We know what we’re here to do. Let’s recap this week’s best and worst reader’s comments.

Most Likely To Be Poot Lovato: James

James was over the moon about JoJo‘s new album Mad Love. But what’s to say this isn’t actually Poot Lovato, seeking revenge on Demi?

Finally, a real artist of todays generation showcasing what real talent is! Jojo putting the taylor swifts and rihannas of the industry in their place, buh bye Demi!!!

Truth Teller of The Week: David

Tinashe really does deserve better than this, and David thinks so too.

RCA has done a horrible job promoting Tinashe’s singles. Party Favors could’ve been huge if they’d committed to pushing it. Hell, Ride of Your Life had METRO BOOMIN producing, which is a surefire way to get top 20 status. I think Tinashe should just drop RCA and sign with someone else, or at least get a better manager.

Chainsmokers’s Fan Club: The Internet

Just kidding. A lot of people were not happy with what the electronic duo said about Gaga’s “Perfect Illusion,” regardless of whether they actually thought the song was good or not.

And then this one…

Savage.

Bey’s Most Faithful Worker Bee: Rob Godby

Conservatives dragged Beyoncé into the current shit show of an election cycle, and this faithful bee came to Bey’s defense.

Enough said.
