The future is now. Apple got rid of the headphone jack on the iPhone 7 and Phase 2 of the grand plan, in which they lure you into buying their new wireless Beats headphones, has commenced. They’ve launched the offensive with a Pinocchio homage “Got No Strings” ad. Except, the headphones definitely have strings? Technicalities! The sheer star power of the commercial will cause you to overlook that.
It’s got Nicki Minaj, Pharrell, Travi$ Scott, DJ Khaled and more, plus a whole bunch of non-music stars like Michael Phelps and Amber Rose, lip syncing to the Disney standard. I feel like this was a blown opportunity to include *NSYNC.
