Department store background music kings The Chainsmokers have offered Lady Gaga an olive branch ahead of their new EP announcement. The hit-making duo made headlines after saying “Perfect Illusion” sucked, which drew a response from Gaga on Twitter. And now Alex Pall and Drew Taggart tell NME they want to buy the “incredible” star a drink because she won that round.

“She killed that tweet, it was such an response from her. I love banter, and that was such a clever, witty response. 10/10,” Pall said about the Joanne singer’s tweet. “It was just my opinion, which I thought nobody would give a shit about. She can have that victory, I hope her album does incredibly well.”

He added: “She’s super-talented. I’m not a huge listener of her stuff, but what she’s done is incredible. I’d be ‘I’m really sorry, you won that round, can we go for a drink?’”

This came just before today’s announcement of the duo’s Collage EP, which comprises new track “Setting Fires” featuring XYLØ, alongside four previously released songs. See the cover art and tracklist below.
