Justin Bieber Tosses Mic & Storms Off Stage After Fans Won’t Stop Screaming

Justin Bieber got testy with fans once again during the UK leg of his Purpose tour. Just last week, he asked the crowd to stop with the “obnoxious” screaming, and last night in Manchester he stormed off the stage for the same issue.

“I appreciate all the support, I appreciate love I appreciate the kind things. But the screaming in these breaks has got to stop. Please and thank you,” he told the crowd, according to the BBC. When they didn’t comply, he tossed his mic and walked off stage.

When he returned to the stage minutes later, he explained himself: “I’m not quite sure why you guys came tonight. I hope it was to enjoy my company as well as letting me enjoy your company. But I want to connect with you. The point of the no screaming thing is that when I’m looking at you in the eyes you know that we’re actually having a moment and having a connection.”

I’m not entirely sure he understands the star-fan dynamic, but anyway, this of course led to more screaming, and booing. So Bieber gave up.

“I’m not going to talk the rest of the night. We’re just going to do the music. Obviously Manchester just can’t handle it so let’s do the music.”

He’s got a long way to go before he can expect the crowd’s undivided rant attention like Kanye.
