Bruno Mars Says Adele Is A Total Diva (In A Good Way)

When Bruno Mars was between albums, you may remember he was one of the pop veterans that Adele called upon to help her with 25. He ended up co-writing “All I Ask” and producing it with his crew The Smeezingtons. And now Mars is doing the media rounds ahead of the release of 24K Magic on November 18, and this morning he spoke about the experience on New York’s WKTU. And in case you were wondering, he confirms Adele is a full-on diva.

In the good way, as in she knows exactly what she’s doing in the studio and exactly the sound she wants. First he described a jaw-dropping moment he experienced listening to her belt out a song: “She was singing in the booth and I’m not exaggerating at all, and the water was vibrating — like that scene in Jurassic Park. She’s got some pipes on her.”

“She’s just a superstar. She walks into the studio, she’s got all this attitude, she’s a diva, she’s like, ‘I don’t want to do this. I don’t like that,’” he added. “And then as soon as we hit a couple chords that she liked, we started rolling, and that’s where we got that song from.”

He also talked about Lady Gaga‘s upcoming Super Bowl gig and the chances of a future Britney Spears collab. Watch below.
