Charli XCX & Lil Yachty’s “After The Afterparty”: Listen
Charli XCX‘s new single has arrived. “After The Afterparty” features Lil Yachty and it’s presumably the first taste of her upcoming super-poppy electro-dance follow-up to sophomore LP Sucker. It’s got a dinky piano melody and a breezy hook that eventually blossom into a stomping party anthem. Lil Boat drops in for a typically upbeat verse.
Fans of unpretentious pop will be happy to know it’s much more straightforward than anything off her Vroom Vroom EP, though the song does indeed have SOPHIE involvement. It was produced by FRED and Stargate, with additional production by the PC Music affiliate.
