Shakira joins forces with Maluma on new single “Chantaje” (Spanish for “Blackmail”) and it’s a really big deal. The woman with the eternally truthful hips has released more than her fair share of high-profile collaborationss (Beyonce duet “Beautiful Liar” and Rihanna-assisted hit “Can’t Remember To Forget You” spring to mind), so what makes this special? Well, Maluma is Latin pop’s break-out star of 2016. The frequently-shirtless crooner is generating the kind of heat Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias did before crossing over.

As such, there was a lot of pressure to come up with a hit and the Colombian duo hasn’t disappointed. “Chantaje” is instantly hummable regardless of your Spanish language skills and will have you moving before the end of the first verse. It’s a winner and has the potential to be a “La Tortura”-sized crossover hit. The video was recently filmed in Barcelona with director Juame De La Iguana and it’s shaping up to be a sexy affair if the above still is any indication. Let’s pray for a little choreography. While we wait for that arrive, listen to the future smash below.
