“No Way” Would Be Fifth Harmony’s Next Single If It Were Up To Them
Artists certainly play a part in choosing singles, but record labels and management teams often have the final say. So what would the next cut from 7/27 be if Fifth Harmony had it their own way? The answer might surprise you. “I would say ‘No Way’ because it’s definitely a step away from who Fifth Harmony has been presented as before,” Normani Kordei told Digital Spy in a new interview. “It would be really cool to step out of ourselves, because it’s a more vulnerable side that you guys have not necessarily got an opportunity to see before.
“We’ve all massively connected with the song,” she says of the Victoria Monet-penned slow jam. “It would be really cool to just be stripped down and raw and vulnerable. Like, no make-up, just us in our natural state. I think that would be very beautiful, because we’re normally super woman empowerment — which we do love because it’s important to us — but it’s always super glam. We’d love to approach it differently.” Listen to “No Way” below. It’s certainly a better choice than “That’s My Girl.”
