Hear Kelly Clarkson’s ‘Hamilton Mixtape’ Song

OK fine. It’s true. I’m one of those soulless subhuman cranks who bristles at the sound of the cool-AP-History-teacher bars of Hamilton. I did not buy into the hype. GET AT ME. When I saw the thinkpieces and hot takes last year suggesting the Hamilton soundtrack was the best rap album of 2015, I seriously considered leaving Twitter for good. So I am happy to report that Kelly Clarkson‘s contribution to the Hamilton Mixtape, “It’s Quiet Uptown,” does not contain any theater-but-like-informative rap. I suppose I’d have known this if I’d made it more than three songs into the original soundtrack.

Hear it below, and check out the loaded tracklist here.
