Yes, Jay Z headlined Hillary Clinton‘s concert last night (November 4) to rally Cleveland supporters. But when surprise guest Beyoncé arrived after performances by Jay, Big SeanChance the Rapper and J. Cole, she became the most important. Backup dancers wore pantsuits and t-shirts reading “I’M WITH HER” — Hillary’s uniform of choice and campaign slogan. She blazed through songs by which to shatter the glass ceiling: “Formation.” Destiny’s Child‘s “Independent Women, Pt. 1.” “Run the World (Girls).”

Early in her set, Beyoncé cut off “Freedom” to remind the crowd of what that could look like in just days. This was one powerful woman co-signing another.

“Eight years ago I was so inspired to know that my nephew, a young black child, could grow up knowing his dreams could be realized by witnessing a black president in office. And now we have the opportunity to create more change. I want my daughter to grow up seeing a woman lead our country — and know that her possibilities are limitless. We have to think about the future of the daughters and sons, and vote for someone who cares for them as much as we do.

“And that is why I’m with her.”

You can watch the entire concert below, though be warned: This footage is raw and unedited, and the audio cuts out frequently. (Beyonce’s set begins at the 2-hour mark.)
