Fergie Relaunches With New Single “Life Goes On”

Earlier this week I wrote a post about Fergie’s stalled comeback and wondered aloud if we were ever going to be blessed with Double Dutchess. Well, it looks like the BEP legend heard our cries. The flawless 41-year-old jumped on Instagram this morning to announce a new single called “Life Goes On” (I assume it’s not a LeAnn Rimes cover), which drops Friday (November 11). “In the midst of all the madness, remember life is beautiful,” she captioned the colorful cover, which hints at a more pop direction.

After a false start with underrated 2014 banger “L.A. Love (La La),” Fergie’s decade-in-the-making sophomore LP seemed to be back on track with the arrival of “M.I.L.F. $” and a string of summer festival dates. The song reached number 34 on the Billboard Hot 100 and racked up 128 million+ views on YouTube, but the pop star clearly had higher expectations and the album was put on ice for a couple of months. If “Life Goes On” connects, hopefully we’ll get Double Dutchess before the end of the year. Stacy would be wise to get those Xmas sales! See the cover below.
