Jessica Simpson Hit The Studio With Linda Perry
It looks like Jessica Simpson's 8th LP is (very) slowly but surely coming together.

Jessica Simpson was clearly feeling a little nostalgic after watching last night’s (November 20) American Music Awards and shared a snippet of her 2001 performance of “I Wanna Love You Forever” on Instagram. It was a cute reminder of the 36-year-old’s vocal prowess and the fact that she’s still working on a comeback album. “Bring it 2017,” she captioned the flawless video. Of course, this project has been in the works since at least 2015. “Right now I am starting a record,” the carpet-loving diva told Extra TV. “I am getting into a lot of other fun things.”

Things went a little quiet after that until May this year when Jess hit the studio with legendary songwriter Linda Perry (Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful” and Adele’s “Can’t Let Go”) and posted a picture on Instagram to prove it. Given the “A Public Affair” hitmaker’s AMAs update, perhaps the album is finally coming together. From Gwen Stefani to Fergie, 2016 has spawned a lot of comebacks and it looks like that trend is set to continue well into the new year. Get reacquainted with Jessica’s powerful pipes by checking out her flashback post below.
