Icona Pop Announce New Single "Brightside"
Swedish duo Icona Pop slows it down with feel-good new single "Brightside."

After a surprisingly lengthy delay, it looks like Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo (better known as Icona Pop) are ready to follow up their international debut LP, This Is… Icona Pop. They unleashed lead single “Brightside” last month and it finds the “I Love It” hitmakers switching it up with a (comparatively) mellow feel-good anthem. The video arrives today (November 21) and it’s a cute celebration of friendship. The divas basically hang out in an empty Chinese restaurant, dance around the tables and empty the bar.

In addition to blessing us with their new single, Icona Pop also feature prominently on the Trolls soundtrack alongside superstars like Justin Timberlake and Gwen Stefani. Oh, and they have been booked to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Oslo, Norway on December 11. Other performers at the event, which honors Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, include Halsey and Sting. Not bad company! Watch the duo’s cheeky video below.
