Lauren Jauregui could be the next Fifth Harmony member to release solo material. The 20-year-old, who recently made headlines by coming out as bisexual in an open letter to Trump voters, hit the studio with The Rascals last night (November 22). “Creating w/ the homies,” the producers behind Ariana Grande’s “Tattooed Heart” and “Lovin’ It” captioned a black-and-white pic on Instagram. Lauren then reposted the pic on her own account. And it’s not like she’s been secretive about working on her own music, having tweeted about it openly in the past.

Of course, Camila Cabello has already released two singles outside the group — Shawn Mendes duet “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which peaked at number 20 on the Billboard Hot 100, and a feature on Machine Gun Kelly’s new single “Bad Things.” Normani Kordei has also recorded a bunch of cover versions, but hasn’t got around to dropping anything official yet. As such, there’s no reason why Lauren can’t do her own thing in addition to her duties with Fifth Harmony. See both Instagram posts below.
